Vodafone Idea’s inadequate network investments to further accelerate subscriber loss: Analysts
NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea’s inadequate network investments will result in poor network experience and will further accelerate subscriber losses in the country, analysts said.
Vodafone Idea shut 1,145 sites on network during the second quarter, consecutive quarter of site reduction. However it added 11,000 broadband base stations during 2Q.
“While this will help improve its data services, its peers continue to invest more in networks. In 2Q, Bharti Airtel added nearly thrice the number of broadband base stations (30,000) increasing the gap with VIL to 80,000 broadband base stations,” Jefferies said in a note.
