Vodafone Idea: What analysts are saying ahead of Q1 earnings concall today

While reporting a narrowing of quarterly losses, Vodafone Idea NSE 1.71 % reported subscriber losses that were higher than Street estimates. An average Rs 7,000 crore loss in the last couple of quarters suggests the telecom operator requires tariff hikes and an urgent capital infusion to meet its debt obligations and catch up with its peers.

The recent 5G spectrum purchases would add about 10 per cent to the overall repayments, analysts said, adding that the operator may be required to repay Rs 8,650 crore over the next 10 months.
