Vodafone Idea sweetens postpaid plans to retain high ARPU customers

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea on Wednesday launched new postpaid plans under the ‘Vi Max’ banner with more data, OTT subscriptions, and bundled benefits as the cash-strapped telco looks to arrest subscriber churn while retaining its high average revenue per user (ARPU) customers.

The move comes a day after Bharti Airtel’s MD Gopal Vittal said the telco can benefit from Vodafone Idea’s continuing financial challenges and further grow its market share, particularly in the postpaid segment, leveraging 5G services to disproportionately win customers.
