Vodafone Idea starts offering unlimited data, SMS with international roaming plans

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea has started offering unlimited data, outgoing calls and to India, as well as, unlimited SMS with its international roaming (IR) plans priced from 599 to Rs 4,499, in a clear move to improve subscriber stickiness in the high-end postpaid segment.

Vodafone Idea’s international roaming plans are priced at Rs 599, Rs 2,999, Rs 3,999, and Rs 4,999, which offer a validity of 24 hours, 7 days, 10 days, and 14 days, respectively.

Vodafone Idea, while citing its internal research, Wednesday said that 90% of the tourists from India opt for popular destinations such as the US, European countries (including UK, France, Italy, Germany, Greece etc.), Turkey, UAE, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, and others.
