Vodafone Idea pays Rs 300 crore of old dues to Indus

Kolkata: Indus Towers has finally started recovering its massive backlog of past dues from key customer, Vodafone Idea (Vi).

India’s largest telecom tower company has collected an extra Rs 300 crore towards old dues from Vi, in addition to full current monthly dues, and is hopeful of putting together a concrete plan to recover the balance backlog of past dues from the cash-strapped telco.

Prior to the latest Rs 300 crore payment, Vi’s past dues to Indus were estimated upwards of Rs 10,000 crore as per industry estimates.
