Vodafone Idea likely to pay another Rs 3300 cr AGR dues today

Vodafone Idea will pay another Rs 3300 crore crore towards its adjusted gross revenue (AGR ) dues today, a day before the Supreme Court is expected to hear the modification plea filed by the telco and other operators.

With Monday’s payments, total amount paid by Vodafone Idea to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) will be about Rs 6800 crore, which will cover for its self assessed principle portion of its dues.

According to the troubled telco’s own assessment, its AGR dues amount to Rs 21,533 crore, if which the principal amount has been pegged at Rs 6,854 crore. The DoT’s estimate though is for overall dues at Rs 53,000 crore.
