Voda Idea fund raising important for healthy competition: Nokia executive

Nokia is hopeful that its major client Vodafone Idea will be able to close its Rs 45,000-crore fund raising efforts, which will be good news for the Finnish telecom equipment maker and the industry as it is important to have more than two private players for healthy competition, a senior executive at the company’s India operations said.

Speaking to ET Wednesday, Sandeep Saxena, head of technology and solutions at Nokia India, also said the company’s operations in the South Asian nation were not under any stress as they were supported by stable business from other telcos Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio.
