Vivo V29 Pro review: An all-rounder mid-premium range 5G smartphone

NEW DELHI: Vivo, the third-largest and the fastest-growing smartphone brand in India as of Q3 2023 (according to Counterpoint Research), has added another premium mid-range smartphone to its portfolio – the Vivo V29 Pro – which it says is developed locally with design and colors inspired by India.

Its unique features include Vivo’s ‘Aura Light’, a ring light for the back camera which, in its new iteration, can seamlessly switch between cold and warm colors, or allow users to manually change the temperature of the light. Other notable mentions include the addition of a dedicated telephoto lens and the 3D curved AMOLED display. But are these additions enough for the V29 Pro to compete in the expanding mid-range segment? I review:
