Vivo now looking to intensify competition in online space; to launch exclusive Z series

NEW DELHI: Chinese handset maker Vivo is now readying to widen its addressable market in India with the launch of a new online-exclusive smartphone series, called Z, having doubled its growth in the January-March quarter this year. The latest series will bring handsets in the price bracket of Rs 10,000-Rs 30,000.

“We need our presence felt in the online…offline has been responsive so far, and we feel that now going forward online is also an important segment. We will like to be present there as well. Keeping that in mind we will be launching an exclusive series,” Nipun Marya, Director Brand Strategy, Vivo India, told ET.
