Viewsonic to launch Android-powered projectors to take on smart TVs

To launch portable, Android-powered LED 4K models with streaming apps

With the market for projectors in India growing by leaps and bounds, the US-based ViewSonic is looking at carving out a larger slice of the pie.

Next month, the company will launch new connected, short-throw projectors that are Android-powered LED 4K models. These projectors will come with streaming apps like Netflix and will be sized so that they can be carried around. Currently, the company is third in the country behind the likes of Epson and BenQ in the projector space.
