US to stop selling high-end chips to Chinese military: Commerce secretary

WASHINGTON: The US will not sell high-end sophisticated chips to the Chinese military, commerce secretary Gina Raimondo said on Sunday.

“We are trying to choke their military capacity. So, if they feel that, that means our strategy’s working… We are not going to sell the most sophisticated American chip to China that they want for their military capacity,” she told NBC News, as she appeared on ahost of Sunday talk shows.
