US interested in India 4G, 5G stack: Vaishnaw
New Delhi: The US has shown interest in India’s locally developed 4G and 5G technology stack, Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said Wednesday.
State-run telecom research body CDoT along with Indian software major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has developed the 4G/5G stack. State run telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. is currently in the process of deploying the deploying the 4G stack across 100,000 sites which will be upgraded to 5G later this year.
Vaishnaw had earlier said that India was in talks with 18 countries across the world that are keen to implement the 4G-5G technology stack.
