Update websites, make them user-friendly: GAD tells all Govt Deptts

The General Administration Department (GAD) Friday directed all the government departments to update their respective websites with the latest schemes and guidelines in Jammu and Kashmir after noticing most of the government websites were not user friendly.

Commissioner Secretary GAD Manoj Kumar Dwivedi ordered all Administrative Secretaries, Deputy Commissioners and Heads of the Departments to immediately comply with the guidelines for government websites in consultation with National Informatics Centre (NIC) for enhancing the quality of online delivery of information of schemes, programmes and services.

“Ensure high degree of consistency and uniformity in the government web space,” the order says.
