Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw gives challenges to IIT BBS students to provide 10 usages of 5G

BHUBANESWAR: Union electronics and information technology minister Ashwini Vaishnaw while visiting the IIT Bhubaneswar here on Sunday threw a challenge to students at the national institute to identify ten application areas and uses of 5G.

If the students provide the techniques, he announced that a Centre of Excellence on 5G will be opened in the institute.

“Auction for the 5G spectrum will be started. I have given challenges to IIT Bhubaneswar students to find out how they can use 5G in 10 different ways. If they do this, a Centre of Excellence on 5G will be set up in the institute,” said the Union minister.
