Unbundling of NW Layers & Services

Trai has come out with a consultation paper on unbundling of different layers of the telecom like infrastructure, services, application etc through different licensing scheme. Trai said that enabling unbundling of different layers (infrastructure, network, services and application layer) through differential licensing is one of the action plans for fulfilling the strategy of NDCP 2018.

Prior to this consultation process, on December 9, 2019, Trai had sought inputs from stakeholders on the broad framework for unbundling of license through a pre-consultation paper on “Enabling Unbundling of Different Layers through Differential Licensing”.
