UK ups competition concerns over Vodafone, Three deal

Britain’s competition regulator Friday said Vodafone’s plan to merge its British mobile phone operations with those of Three UK, owned by Hong Kong-based CK Hutchison, risked higher prices for customers.
The Competition and Markets Authority said it could deepen its probe, after launching in January an investigation into the deal, should the pair fail to address regulator concerns.
