UK to host first global summit on artificial intelligence safety

Various countries and regions are exploring ways to curb the dangers posed by artificial intelligence (AI). One of the ways is collaboration among governments to draft rules to regulate the emerging technology. As part of one such partnership, the UK and the US are set to host a global AI safety summit later this year.

As per a report by news agency Reuters, the summit will explore the risks of AI, including frontier systems. In a statement, the UK government said that the conference will also discuss how risks posed by AI can be mitigated through internationally coordinated action.
