Twitter restarts verification process to call out fake accounts, here’s step-by-step procedure to get verified

Who doesn’t want to be a social media star, a phenomenon signified through the number of followers one has. Some social media celebrities’ claim to fame was based on fake followers, something micro-blogging website Twitter is planning to crack down upon.

After a gap of three years, Twitter on Friday will restart its verification process. This means the genuine accounts will get a blue tick mark.

The micro-blogging platform had stopped verification process in November 2017.
