Twitter India’s Manish Maheshwari to move to US as Senior Director

Twitter India head Manish Maheshwari is moving to the microblogging site’s US operations close to two years after he was appointed as the managing director of Twitter India.

Maheshwari, who joined Twitter India from Network 18 in April 2009 will move to the US as Senior Director, Revenue Strategy and Operations.

A Twitter spokesperson said, “We can confirm that Manish is staying at Twitter, and moving into a new role based in San Francisco as Senior Director, Revenue Strategy and Operations focused on New Market Entry.”

Maheshwari has been at the front of the faceoff between the social media platform and the government of India after an FIR filed against the company included him to be present in person for questioning by the UP Police.
