Twitter down! Service inaccessible for several users today

It was reported by many users that Twitter service was down earlier today. Several users were unable to access Twitter for a few hours on Thursday morning and they revealed that the company’s service was partially unavailable. Twitter outage lasted for as long as five hours. Users revealed that they were unable to access various services on web, according to the site.

Acknowledging the issue, Twitter posted this: “Profiles’ Tweets may not be loading for some of you on web and we’re currently working on a fix. Thanks for sticking with us!”

Online service monitoring tool Downdetector saw a rise in user complaints at around 7 AM IST. The site showed that over 6,000 users had claimed they were unable to access the microblogging service at the time.
