Trai to start discussion on improving speed and reliability of broadband connectivity
New Delhi: The telecom regulator is considering starting an industry-wide discussion on improving speed and reliability of broadband connectivity as well as strengthening the digital infrastructure amid growing remote work culture in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
“The authority is considering initiating a consultation on ways to increase high speed and reliable broadband connectivity in the country,” Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) chairman RS Sharma told ET, adding that back-end “digital infrastructure creation is another area of priority” for the regulator.
