Trai suggests 90-day limit for test phase with trial wireline subscribers

New Delhi: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has proposed a 90-day limit for the test period for wireline services involving trial subscribers, as part of draft recommendations on ‘network testing before commercial launch of wireline services’.

In the draft recommendations unveiled on Tuesday, Trai said that a telecom service provider (TSP) should be allowed to take on board test subscribers in the trial phase to carry out the network testing before commercial launch of services.
