Trai issues rules around draft consumer education

Kolkata: The sector regulator has issued draft rules to amend the Telecommunication Consumers Education and Protection Fund Regulations, 2007, that involve a fund used for running activities relating to consumer education and protection.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) had originally notified the Telecommunication Consumers Education & Protection Fund (TCEPF) Regulations in June 2007. Subsequently, a fund was created to undertake programmes related to consumer education and protection.
