Trai drive test in Del & Mum

So far Trai was in denial mode. All its quality reports used to say “all good” messages. After much of hue & cry by the public & the parliamentarian, the telecom ministry woke up. Trai asked TUV SUD South Asia Pvt Ltd to conduct drive test. They did it on 23-24 June 2015 covering various locations in South and Central Mumbai; and on 9-11 July 2015 in South Delhi, Central Delhi and West Delhi. Only 2G BTS were covered. The tests were performed from 09:00 hrs to 19:30 hrs to cover peak and off-peak hours. The test result showed all the operators failing on important criteria.
