Trai denies report that it is probing all tariff plans for predatory pricing

New Delhi: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has denied a media report that it is undertaking a drive to probe all past tariff plans to check for predatory pricing.

“There is no special drive being undertaken by Trai to probe all the past tariff plans filed by telecom companies except those specific plans under examination,” the regulator said in a statement Friday.

A recent media report had suggested that Trai was probing all the past tariff plans to check predatory pricing allegations by Vodafone Idea against Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio in offering unlimited 5G data.
