Trai backs forming cloud service providers for light touch regulation
New Delhi: The telecom regulator has advocated the formation of an industry body of cloud service providers (CSPs) to ensure light touch regulation on the sector which must voluntarily come up with a code of conduct and best practices.
“The first industry body may be set up by DoT as a non-profit body under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 in a three-step process,” the telecom regulatory authority of India (trai) said in its recommendations to the department of telecommunication (DoT) issued Monday.
