Tower companies write to Haryana govt, highlighting rumors linking Covid-19 to 5G trials

NEW DELHI: Tower companies through their representative body Tower and Infrastructure Providers Association (TAIPA) have written to the Haryana government highlighting the rumors on social media linking the spread of Covid-19 with telecom networks and 5G network testing, which is causing huge losses to the Infrastructure providers (IP-1) in the operation and maintenance of existing telecom towers and installation of new ones due to resistance from miscreants.

These miscreants, according to TAIPA, are creating hindrances and indulging in shutting down/damaging the towers in Haryana, especially in the districts of Jind and Rohtak.
