Tired of Siri choosing iMessage instead of WhatsApp, here’s how you can change that

Apple has made it a lot easier for users to customise things with iOS 17, which wasn’t possible with the earlier versions of iOS. This also includes the option to select which app Siri will use to send messages.

Apple has already made it possible for developers to integrate Siri commands into their apps and services with the iOS10 update. For instance, users can say things like Book a cab with Uber or manually tell the name of an app to use for sending messages. The idea is to mention the third-party app name in the command.

The process comes with its own set of inconveniences like not remembering the app name or Siri getting the app name wrong. This usually leads to retrying again and again.
