Threads may have lost half of its daily active users from its peak, but why Instagram is not worried

To compete with Twitter, Meta launched its new micro-blogging platform Threads earlier this month. Instagram’s Twitter rival crossed over 150 million users within days of its launch, becoming the first-ever app ever to achieve this feat. However, the latest platform’s hype has reportedly reduced significantly. According to a report from SimilarWeb, the number of daily active users on Threads reduced to half compared to the number it saw during its launch week. The app has reportedly dropped from 49 million to 23.6 million daily active users within a week.
