This may be the biggest change in your next iPhone
NEW DELHI: Apple is expected to bring a change to its upcoming iPhone lineup. As reported by LetsGo Digital, the Cupertino giant is planning to do away with Face ID in the 2020 lineup of iPhones.
The report adds that the company is expected to replace the Face ID with in-display fingerprint sensor or a biometric sensor which will be placed on the side of the device. Apple introduced the Face ID and notch-screen design in 2017 along with the launch of iPhone X.
Apart from this, recently Apple also filed a patent in Japan which included the illustrations of a notch-free iPhone. This means that company might also ditch the notch screen in its upcoming lineup of iPhones. These new changes are expected to be included in iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max only. The other iPhones in the 2020 lineup will consist of both notch-screen and Face ID.
