Ever since the launch of Essential Phone in 2017, we have seen smartphone makers launch handsets with all kinds of notches to house the front camera. And two years since that happened, we are at a stage where smartphone OEMs are now increasingly opting for full-screen displays.
Ice Universe, the popular tipster who has been mostly right about the upcoming Samsung devices, called the “Full-Display 2.0 an irreversible trend.”
His tweet reads, “Full-Display 2.0 is an irreversible trend in phone design. Samsung canceled this project (probably one of Samsung’s most serious mistakes this year), Chinese brands are actively researching, vivo is one of the most radical brands, and can be foreseen, vivoNEX2 looks like this.”
