This is how Google plans to solve one of the biggest annoyances of Android updates

Google is working on a new feature that will fix one of the major problems that Android users face after an over-the-air (OTA) update gets completed. According to a report by XDA Developers, the internet search giant is set to launch a feature called “Resume on Reboot,” which will address the issue faced by Android users who enable automatic OS updates that happen overnight. Whenever such OS updates happen overnight, many apps on the smartphone don’t start unless the device is unlocked which may lead to missing out on important notifications.
The report suggests that with the “Resume on Reboot” feature will not require users to put in their login credentials after an OTA update has been installed. This is because the feature will enable your smartphone to store your login information and use it to automatically unlock the device after the update.
