This iPhone-first WhatsApp feature is now coming to Android smartphones

NEW DELHI: Instant messaging app WhatsApp is rolling out Picture-in-Picture mode for its Android users that are part of the beta program. This feature enables users to switch between WhatsApp chats without ending any video — whether it is from YouTube, Facebook, Instagram etc — the users are playing in the app.
This was first reported by WABetaInfo, the social media channel that tracks the changes and upcoming features on the Facebook-owned app. As per their report, this feature has been spotted on WhatsApp beta for Android 2.19.177.
