This city is the ‘digital payments capital’ of India in 2022
Paytm has released a Recap 2022 report that shares how India used the app and some interesting finds related to the online transaction trends on the payments platform. Paytm UPI users can also track their individual payments in 2022 through paytm.com/recap.
As per Paytm, one Paytm user booked flights between Delhi and Mumbai 358 times, another user made payments on Paytm from 106 cities in India and a third person referred 1,300 people and earned Rs 1 lakh.
Delhi-NCR registers 2X growth
While Delhi-NCR emerged as India’s digital payments capital with 2X growth as compared to last year, Tamil Nadu Katpadi became the fastest growing city for digital payments with 7X growth in 2022, the report said.
