This Chinese e-tailer will soon use beauty filters to face scan payments

Beijing: Chinese retail giant Alibaba’s e-wallet affiliate Alipay is working to add beauty filters when users pay with its face recognition system.
The change comes shortly after a Sina Technology poll found that 60 per cent of respondents think next-gen payment systems make them look ugly. Alipay announced the update on Weibo and the company plans to bring the feature to retail stores within a week, the Engadget reported on Friday quoting TechCrunch.
“We are going to make you look even prettier than with a beauty camera. I bet you’ll be impressed,” Alipay had written on Weibo.
