These new features may come to Android phones soon

Internet search giant Google has rolled out the second edition of the Developer Preview of its next update of Android operating system — Android 11. As part of the update, the company has listed out numerous features that are expected to reach Android users soon. Readers must note that this update is for developers only, but it still gives a sneak peak to all that is in store for Android users.
In a blog post, Dave Burke, VP of Engineering, Google revealed that the API to get the angle of the foldable device is a top requested feature and Google has adhered to that in this update. The Android 11 OS will come with support for hinge angle sensors that will let apps be more adaptive for foldable phones.
“We’re working to make updates faster and smoother by prioritizing app compatibility as we roll out new platform versions. In Android 11 we’ve added new processes, tools, and release milestones to minimize the impact of platform updates and make them easier for developers,” said the blog post.
