These 17 Amazon Alexa-powered smart devices now support Matter

Following Google’s rolled out of Matter support for a bunch of its smart devices, Amazon has announced it is bringing the latest smart home standard to 17 of its offerings. This means that these 17 devices will be able to work in harmony with other Matter-enabled products from any company preferred by customers.

Amazon said in a blog post that it has completed the first phase of Matter rollout. “Tens of millions of Alexa customers across the globe now have more ways to connect their devices with the availability of Matter over WiFi spanning 17 different Echo devices, Plugs, Switches, and Bulbs,” the company said.

As per the e-commerce giant, it is rolling out Matter support for the most common device types first. It says that the company is “continuing to work through interoperability, stability and longevity-testing with their partners, ensuring customers have a seamless and high-quality experience with Alexa.”
