The first phone to launch with HyperOS in India is not a Xiaomi or Redmi

Poco, a Xiaomi spin-off brand will launch India’s first HyperOS-powered smartphone after all. Not Xiaomi, or even Redmi. The Poco X6 Pro will run Xiaomi’s new Android 14 powered HyperOS software right out of the gate when it launches in India on January 11. A Poco X6 is also launching alongside although software details on that one are under the wraps. Presumably, it will be run MIUI 14 based on Android 13. But we’ll see.


HyperOS is being billed as a new-age software and a big change from how Xiaomi does these things or rather, has been doing these things over the past many years.
