The first iPhone went on sale 14 years back on this day of June

“Apple reinvents the phone,” Steve Jobs said while announcing the original iPhone with 2G support back in January 2007. And on June 29, 2007, the iPhone went on sale for the first time in the US. It’s 2021 and the world is now awaiting the launch of iPhone 13 series with 5G support 14 years later.

Apple was developing the original iPhone from 2005 in complete secrecy for over two years changing the way mobile phones looked like and also conceptualised that your mobile phone should always be connected to the internet. And not to forget, mobile phones shouldn’t require so many hardware buttons when a simple touch screen powered by reliable software can replace it all.
