Is there some special app that has been created for collecting census data? How many people have used this app? How many Panchayats are conversant with this app?
The seventh economic census that is being done in the country is being done through use of technology. Earlier, all other census were done through use of paper. First time they are using mobile application in order to collect the data. The advantage is that it is instantly available, it also gives the proof record of the location because GPS coordinates are there from where the data is being collected. Therefore, it is more transparent, easy to collect and instantly available.
