Teleperformance’s camera-based home monitoring plan worries Indian staff

BENGALURU: India employees of Teleperformance are worried about the BPO company’s move to install AI cameras in the homes of those who are serving certain clients.

The $6.5-billion BPO firm has over 70,000 employees in India out of the 3.8 lakh employees globally. The company, which counts Apple, Google, Uber and Barclays among its customers, has 2.4 lakh employees working from home.
