Telecom shares mixed; Tata Teleservices zooms 16%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading on a mixed note in Thursday’s afternoon session.

Shares of Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (up 16.09 per cent), Bharti Airtel (up 1.83 per cent), GTL (up 1.82 per cent) and Reliance Communications (up 1.53 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.

GTPL Hathway (down 2.54 per cent), ITI (down 1 per cent), Bharti Infratel (down 0.71 per cent) and Vindhya Telelinks (down 0.47 per cent) were trading with losses.
