Telecom shares gain; GTPL Hathway surges 8%

NEW DELHI: Most telecom shares were trading in the positive zone in Wednesday’s afternoon session.

Shares of GTPL Hathway (up 8.50 per cent), Aksh Optifibre (up 3.57 per cent), GTL (up 2.17 per cent) and Vodafone Idea (up 1.27 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

ITI (up 0.77 per cent), Bharti Airtel (up 0.70 per cent), Himachal Futuristic Communications (up 0.48 per cent) and Bharti Infratel (up 0.11 per cent) too were trading in the green.
