Telecom shares fall; Vodafone Idea slumps 5%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading in the negative zone in Wednesday’s afternoon session.

Shares of Vodafone Idea (down 5.71 per cent), Reliance Communications (down 4.67 per cent), GTL Infrastructure (down 3.49 per cent) and GTPL Hathway (down 3.33 per cent) were among the worst performers in the index.

GTL (down 2.06 per cent), Aksh Optifibre (down 1.01 per cent), OnMobile Global (down 1 per cent) and Bharti Airtel (down 0.95 per cent) too were trading with losses.
