Telecom sector needs a stable regulatory regime: Bharat Vasani

The beleagured telecom sector on Thursday saw two of its big telcos, Vodafone Idea and Airtel posting record losses, as they made provisions for the adjusted gross revenues dues following a Supreme Court order. Voda Idea reported Rs 50,922 crore loss in the September quarter, which is also the worst quarterly loss in India’s corporate history. Airtel’s loss, on the other hand, was Rs 23,045 crore.
