Telecom Diary: Spectrum auction on anvil, 5G trials catch momentum with use cases

Within weeks of announcing the reform package for the telecom sector, the government has initiated the process for the next round of auction including 5G spectrum.

The telecom department has sought a reference from the telecom regulator Trai seeking fresh base prices for 700 MHz, 3.3-3.6 GHz and the coveted millimeter waves such as 26 GHz and 28 GHz that support 5G technology.
