Telecom Diary: Satcom services: New arena for Jio & Airtel!

After creating ruffles in the telecom sector, the top two telecom firms Reliance Jio and Airtel are all set to fight it out in satellite broadband space.

Jio Satellite, owned by Mukesh Ambani and OneWeb, where Sunil Mittal’s Bharti Enterprises own a majority stake, are planning to launch satellite broadband services soon. This space has attracted Elon Musk’s Starlink to Amazon’s Project Kuiper along with other foreign players.
