Telecom dept op to curb illegal activities along Indo-Pak border

Jaisalmer: To control anti-national activities at the Indo-Pak international border in Rajasthan, the Union telecommunication department has started a special operation.

According to sources, the telecom department will run the operation along the entire 1,070-km long Pak border adjoining Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sriganganagar and Bikaner districts. All the telecom companies are keeping strict watch in these four districts where mobile tower signals from Pakistan are received. Due to the signals, smuggling of drugs and counterfeit currency are being done in these four districts.
