The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has sought the approval of the cabinet for implementing a Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme to promote telecom and networking products manufacturing in India with a budgetary support of Rs 12,195 crore for its implementation over a period of 5 years. This scheme will bolster the telecom and networking equipment manufacturing sector by supporting their manufacturing in India; improve their capacity which will make them competitive;
