Telcos to lead disruption for growth of the country: Intel executive

NEW DELHI: A top executive from Intel on Tuesday said that telecom service providers have a big role to play in leading disruption based growth in the country.

Prakash Mallya, VP and MD, Sales and Marketing, Intel India speaking at a panel during the India Mobile Congress 2019 asserted that growth in India has been on account of various disruptions like 4G, digital payments, OTT and that telecom operators in the country have a tremendous opportunity to further lead that disruption.

“Telecom operators know their customers and businesses really well more than any other segment of customers and that is why I believe (in) disruption, telecom operators have a big role to play, “ Mallya said.
